The Centre is open for children, youths and their parents every workday from 9h to 17:30h.

Those visiting the Centre may receive food and clothing, health and legal advice, advocacy for one’s rights and mediation in solving problems.

The monthly capacity of the Centre is 50 children and youths.

 

The Centre offers the following activities and services:

  • Social consultation and planning of individual programs for social inclusion.
  • Psychological counseling and help
  • Speech therapy and diagnostics
  • Rehabilitation
  • Health support, consultations and talks regarding sexual reproduction and health and family planning
  • Juridical consultation
  • Teaching support
  • Career orientations and enlisting in courses for professional qualification
  • Street social work for the prevention of risk of social isolation
  • Organization of educational and information programs as part of the field work in the community
  • Planning of recreational activities for the free time
  • Training of professionals and volunteers for acquiring skills in communication with people at risk.

 

The work of the team is supported by volunteers and students from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and New Bulgarian University.

 

Financing of the Centre for Social Rehabilitation and Integration comes from:

  • Delegated budget from Sofia Municipality
  • Donations from Physical and juridical persons
  • Wills

The Crisis Centre for Children Victims of Violence is a social residential service. It is a set of services for children who are victims of various forms of violence (physical, psychological, sexual, neglect, trafficking or other forms of exploitation) in the family or outside it. The Crisis centre provides institutional protection and protection as a whole of children victims of violence.

 

The objective of the service is to break the cycle of violence, to overcome the effect of violence, to encourage the social integration and to promote positive relationships within the family.

 

The following is provided as part of the service: Shelter and Protection; Meeting the basic needs of a child: food, clothing and footwear, sanitation and hygiene services; Healthcare – prevention and medical treatment; Psychological support /using external consultants and treatment if necessary/, Psychological support /both individual and group activities/, psychomotor development activities; Crisis Intervention; Providing support for school studies, career guidance and motivation;

Enrolment and reintegration in the respective school grade; Providing support with the school subjects and exam preparation; Cooperating with the pedagogues, the pedagogical counselors and the psychologists at the respective schools where the children are enrolled; Training programmes for the school clubs: Music, Arts, Computer Club and extracurricular activities for the schoolchildren; Working with the families of the children and with other adults who are important in children’s lives.

 

The funding of the Crisis Centre is provided by:

• Delegated state budget;

• International and national programmes;

• Donations from individuals and legal entities;

• Other sources not prohibited by law.

 

All activities carried out in the provision of the social services are consistent with the standards and requirements of the Methodological Guides of the Social Assistance Agency and the current legislation in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The Centre for Street Children is a set of social services, which is aimed at the prevention of the children from remaining on the street and dropping out of school, social rehabilitation and integration of children living fully or partially on the street through provision of individual work with the child and his family, family consultation and support, health and sanitation services, literacy of the children and training in parenting skills.

 

The key task of the Centre is to provide protection of the street children.

 

The Centre provides safe and secure environment for the development of each child during his stay, according to the regulations governing the protection and social assistance of the children, and permanent removal of the hazardous street environment for children who are temporary or permanently homeless.

The funding of the Center for Street Children is provided by:

 

• Delegated state budget;

• International and national programmes;

• Donations from individuals and legal entities;

• Other sources not prohibited by law.

 

All activities carried out in the provision of the social services are consistent with the standards and requirements of the Methodological Guides of the Social Assistance Agency and the current legislation in the Republic of Bulgaria.

The Community Support Centre is aimed at the prevention of abandonment, violence and dropping out of school, deinstitutionalisation and social integration of children from the institutions through consultation and support of families at risk and work with juvenile delinquents.

 

The service Community Support Centre is provided to children aged 0-18 and their families.

The funding of the Community Support Centre is provided by:

 

• International, national and municipal programmes;

• Donations from individuals and legal entities;

• Testaments.

 

All activities carried out in the provision of the social services are consistent with the standards and requirements of the Methodological Guides of the Social Assistance Agency and the current legislation in the Republic of Bulgaria.
